Jamie xx | In Waves

Nine years after the release of his GRAMMY, BRIT, Ivor Novelle and Mercury Music Prize nominated debut album, 'In Colour', British musician, DJ and producer Jamie xx has unveiled his, to say the least, highly anticipated sophomore album. The album is titled "In Waves" and will be released on 20 September 2024.

The album's 12 songs include the single 'Baddy On The Floor', made in collaboration with club icon Honey Dijon. The album also features collaborations with high-profile stars such as Robyn, The Avalanches, Kelsey Lu, John Glacier, Panda Bear, Oona Doherty and The xx bandmates Romy and Oliver Sim.

"In Waves" was written over a four-year period during which Jamie xx has been simultaneously preoccupied with self-reflection, a global pandemic, playing on dancefloors around the world, producing Oliver Sim's debut solo album and a newfound love of surfing as escapism. He has consciously pursued a sound characterised by joy, fun and introspection, all at once.

It's an album that aims for the same heights as its globally acclaimed predecessor.
