Lorde | Virgin
Lorde's fourth studio album, 'Virgin', is set to release on June 27, 2025. This marks her first full-length project since 2021's 'Solar Power'.
The new album's cover art is a striking blue-tinted X-ray of a pelvis, complete with a belt buckle, zipper, and an intrauterine device (IUD), symbolizing themes of transparency and femininity. Lorde describes the album as "100% written in blood," aiming to reflect her femininity in its raw, primal, innocent, elegant, openhearted, spiritual, and masculine aspects. She emphasizes full transparency in both language and sound, striving to see herself all the way through.
'Virgin' features collaborations with producers and artists such as Jim-E Stack, Fabiana Palladino, Andrew Aged, Buddy Ross, Dan Nigro, and Devonté Hynes (Blood Orange). The album was mixed by Spike Stent and Tom Elmhirst and mastered by Chris Gehringer.
