Skunk Anansie | The Painful Truth

Skunk Anansie returns with "The Painful Truth", their seventh studio album and first in nine years. The album's creation was deeply influenced by bassist Cass Lewis's battle with stage four cancer during the recording process. His experience adds a layer of emotional depth to the album, underscoring themes of resilience and authenticity. As Skin, the band's frontwoman, articulates, The Painful Truth confronts the band's identity and aspirations, making it a poignant reflection of their evolution.

The album was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Dave Sitek, known for his work with TV on the Radio
