Deep Purple | SPLAT!
Deep Purple announce the release of a new album in 2026, titled SPLAT!
With more than 120 million albums sold since the band's formation in 1968, Deep Purple have long held a special place in rock history. But rather than merely preserving their legacy, they continue to expand upon it, driven by the same spirit that has defined them since their earliest work.
Lead singer Ian Gillan says: “Where we are now with this incarnation of Deep Purple feels very much like a very ‘now’ version of Deep Purple as it was in the seventies.”
On SPLAT! the band has once again teamed up with acclaimed producer Bob Ezrin (KISS, Pink Floyd, Lou Reed, Alice Cooper). Together, they have created an album that draws on the sound and attitude that has always set Deep Purple apart from the rest.
The album is their heaviest album in many years and was recorded by the band together in the studio – the way Deep Purple has always recorded.
