With the renewed attention surrounding Duffy's long-awaited comeback in 2027, her sensationally big debut album, Rockferry, is being reissued in a series of new deluxe editions.
The 2LP edition on white vinyl contains the complete expanded version of the album with 18 tracks, which is being released on vinyl for the very first time. The ultimate edition for both collectors and fans.
The expanded version with 18 tracks is also being collected on one deluxe CD for the first time. The original album with 10 tracks is also being reissued on black vinyl.
Rockferry was originally released in March 2008 and became one of the most defining albums of the decade. With its blend of timeless soul, pop, and blues combined with Duffy's unmistakable voice, the album debuted at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart, where it spent five weeks at the top and an impressive 102 weeks on the chart in total.
The album sold over 2 million copies in the UK, making it one of the best-selling British albums of this century. Worldwide, it has sold more than 7 million copies. Rockferry achieved seven-times platinum in the UK and multi-platinum status in a wide range of European countries and the rest of the world.
Rockferry spawned a number of major hit singles, including:
• "Mercy" – Spent five weeks at No. 1 in the UK and became Duffy's definitive signature hit. The single achieved double platinum status in the UK, topped the charts in several other countries, and achieved platinum status in the US.
• "Warwick Avenue" – Reached third place on the UK Singles Chart, achieved platinum status, and remains one of Duffy's most beloved songs.
• "Stepping Stone" – A Top 25 hit in the UK.
• "Rain On Your Parade" – The lead single from the deluxe edition, which reached 15th place on the UK Singles Chart.
The album received great critical acclaim and was honored with several prestigious awards. At the 2009 Grammy Awards, Rockferry won the award for Best Pop Vocal Album, while Duffy was also nominated for Best New Artist, and "Mercy" received a nomination in the category of Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
In the UK, Duffy dominated the 2009 BRIT Awards, where she won the awards for British Album of the Year with Rockferry, British Female Solo Artist, and British Breakthrough Act. Thereby, she cemented her status as one of the most prominent artists of the time.
In connection with the album, Duffy went on an extensive international tour in 2008 and 2009, where she played sold-out concerts and performed at major festivals in the UK, Europe, North America, and Australia. The tour helped establish Rockferry as a global success.
