Adele's album, 19, was a big debut for the singer, with several big hits at the absolute top lists around the world. The album's title comes from Adele's age from when she wrote many of the songs, and is a trend that she still uses.

With the ensuing album, Adele 21, she took her recognition to new heights, and really marked herself as an international star. The year after launch, Adele received a Grammy and a Brit Award, both for delivering the Best Album of the Year. Adele also added vocals to James Bond the same year.
