Radiohead | A Moon Shaped Pool
A Moon Shaped Pool is the 9th studio album from the most recognized and perhaps most important band since the late 90s, Radiohead. The band is known for renewing themselves and their sound with each album, but A Moon Shaped Pool appears to be more of a refinement of their sound and reflection on their sonic development since their debut in 1993, while Jonny Greenwood's string arrangements have gained a more prominent place in the soundscape.
The album consists of 11 incomparably beautiful songs, most of which are reworkings of various tracks that have been part of Radiohead's live set for several years (some dating back to the mid-90s), but have never been properly recorded in a studio. It's fan service at its best and both critics and fans received the album with massive praise when it was released digitally back in May. A return to great form after the slightly disappointing (good, but not brilliant) King of Limbs from 2011.
A Moon Shaped Pool shows that Radiohead is still in a league of their own!
