The Lorenza Mazzetti Collection Bluray
Collection celebrating the work of Lorenza Mazzetti, an Italian film director who moved to London in 1951 and began working on her first film soon thereafter. She would go on to co-found the Free Cinema documentary film movement in the mid-1950s. The following short films directed by Mazetti are featured: 'The Country Doctor' (1953), which is based on the writings of Franz Kafka and was thought lost until 2019; 'K' (1954), an adaptation of Kafka's novella 'The Metamorphosis' which explores the theme of alienation; 'Together' (1956), which follows two deaf and mute dock workers in London's East End.
Brighid Lowe's documentary 'Together With Lorenza Mazzetti' (2023) is also included, in which interviews with Mazzetti provide insight into her life and career.
