The Last Witness

Polish-British war thriller based on true events in which a series of mass executions of Polish citizens summons the attention of journalist Stephen Underwood (Alex Pettyfer). Determined to uncover the truth behind the graves of around 22,000 disposed bodies in the Katyn Forest, Russia, Underwood approaches his superior and editor Frank Hamilton (Michael Gambon) who dismisses his request to investigate the matter due to his inexperience. In his hunger for the truth, Underwood ignores this guidance and sets out to expose the perpetrators of the atrocities that have taken place only to stumble upon a wide government cover-up.
