Herbie Hancock is one of the most influential jazz musicians of all time, and 1964's Empyrean Isles ranks among his most significant albums. This central piece of art is finally being reissued as part of the much acclaimed Blue Note Classic Vinyl Series. This means that the record is stereo with all-analog master by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes. The LP is pressing on 180 gr. vinyl at Optimal.

On Empyrean Isles Hancock was joined by trumpeter Freddie Hubbard (another important figure in jazz) + his Miles Davis Quintet bandmates Ron Carter (bass) and Tony Williams (drums).
