The much-anticipated Season 5 of Netflix’s supernatural horror phenomenon will air this year, starring a stellar ensemble including Wynona Ryder, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard. Created by twins Matt and Ross Duffer, Stranger Things is an American science fiction horror drama television series that follows the community of a small ‘80s Indiana town as they are plagued by a hostile alternate dimension known as the "Upside Down".

Composed by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein of the electronic band S U R V I V E, the soundtrack’s distinctive style relies on legacy synthesizers. Dixon and Stein were asked to score Stranger Things after the Duffers initially used their song 'Dirge' for their pitch trailer.

AllMusic refers to the duo’s music as an “unabashed love letter to the work of John Carpenter, Jean-Michel Jarre, and Tangerine Dream… their homages are always in service of Stranger Things' story and mood. The excellent and bold reworking of key cues from the score shows London Music Works at their best.
