Bibilical Lessons the Plane Crash Taught Me

WHY THIS BOOK?LIFE IS A BOEING 737 MAX 8A few days to my boarding a flight on the 11th of March, 2019 from Robertsville Airport, Monrovia, Liberia to Lagos, Nigeria I woke to news of the fatal crash of the Ethiopian Airlines operated Boeing 737 MAX aero plane in Kenya. Though accidents do happen, and travelers must learn to take them in their stride, this one held my full and long attention for two reasons. One we are told that the technology behind this aircraft is brand new so to say. Just off the table and hi-tech! So how could this happen?Soon enough, we found that it was not as a result of terrorist activity. Just as we were coming up with more and more questions, intimidating videos of the flight began to circulate. We could see the craft struggling for life, grabbing at straws like a shot elephant resisting the pull of gravity in a poacher's paradise. Then the fatal fire-full fall! What happened? As lay man who does not understand rocket science, I tried in vain, to make sense out of the hordes of technical terminologies trending in social and traditional media on the plane crash. My second concern came knocking in form of a request from my team mates for us to abandon our scheduled flight and proceed to Nigeria either by road or sea and a need for me to take a decision for the team. Of course, this second concern did not take me long to wave aside. Why I hear you ask? Well, a deep diving fisher man by the banks of River Niger once told me that though River Niger swallows many an unwary, and mostly unskilled swimmer, people will continue to swim the river because for the locals, there are no options. I could not help asking - are there options to flying? I will not shy away from telling you that I felt at that time that flying, at this stage in the history of man, cannot be avoided and statistics available still supports the tenet that air travel is still the safest. So I told my anxious colleagues that we will go back by air. Not without reminding them that Jehovah is the God of the mountain as well as the God of the valley: that if God cannot protect you in the air, He cannot do so in your bedroom! Nor at sea!But I digress. My purpose here is not to tell you of how the news of the crash reached us and its impact on my travelling team. Rather, I want to tell you what God made me see about the plane crash and how this understanding can change your life for better and forever!Who says that life is not a Boeing 737 Max?
